THINGS WITH WINGS
An other week in the designer spotlight.

This week, i made an art journal page in my Dina Wakely art journal.
THE BACKGROUND
All over the page, i stamped with Tim Holtz CMS016 stamp set and archival jet black ink.
From Simon Says Stamp black Cardstock, i cut 20 triangles: 1 1/4 inch for the base, 1 7/8 inch (base to the triangle tip). I glued them all around the page, traced lines and dots with a gold gel pen.
After finishing the stenceling, i made red splashes with lumber jack plaid distress paint.
THE FOCAL POINT
In the middle, with Tim HOLTZ gel medium, i glued a scrap paper 3 5/8 wide / 6 1/4 high. On top i stenciled with Simon Says Stamp blending brushes and Tim Holtz THS077 stencil with Distress inks in bundled sage and aged mahogany
All around, i traced lines; first with a a gold gel pen, then with a black sharpy.
I stamped the wings on neenah solar white cardstock, with archival jet black ink and fussy cut them with scissors.
With Distress crayons, i colored a Tim Holtz idea-ology baseboard doll. I used dried marigold, aged mahogany and spun sugar.
In white cardstock, with Tim Holtz Sizzix crochet die, i die cut a 3 1/2 inch piece of lace i inked with walnut stain Distress ink. I glued it at 2 inches from the bottom.
I glued the wings behind the doll and glued all on the scrap paper.
THE SENTIMENT
In Simon Says Stamp black Cardstock , with Tim Holtz Sizzix vault edges diesT i die cut "use your" and in Simon Says Stamp black Cardstock and gold Tim Holtz idea-ology Kraft Stock, with Tim Holtz Sizzix Alphanumeric shadow upper dies, i die cut "WINGS".
